This One Time: Stories of Stuff
September 9, 2011
So this one time, I did some stuff. Some of it was blogger stuff, some of it was birthday stuff, and some of it was random stuff. Regardless of its category, it was fun stuff. Here are some of photos, offered as evidence that I have been…
Life has been busy and wonderful. I’ve been clad in gloriously thrifted cobalt blue dresses and lots of jewels. The weather has been windy and stunning. Basically, I’m content, even if I have been a very lazy blogger. :)
Thanks to Andrea for photos; Shop It to Me, ASOS, Deliciously Vintage, and Julie Watson Style for fantastic events; Tabitha, Andrea, Merl, and Lisa for super for times (as always); and Sean for the best birthday EVER.

holy SHIT i miss you people!!! this looks like the time of my life, i mean your life
come back to arkansas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, these are some good things. That Lit Theory book is a classic in my field and I love me some requiems. Looks like fun!
Also, super huge welcome to the Academia and Fashion group. Remember to pop the button up sometime and let me know if there are any activities you want the group to do — I recently floated the idea of some nerd-wide activities, so we might branch out a little!
Great shots, seems you were having the best time!
Hey, I have that book! Oh, grad school. Sometimes I miss you…
I LOVE that blue dress and it looks as if you were indeed having a blast. Happy b-day!
Glad you’ve been having fun!!
Honestly I might need to make that nun picture my background. It is the most amazingly wonderful thing I have seen on the internet in a long time.
We owe you 2 nights of dancing – Happy belated birthday. I’m sad we missed you this week, but glad something is in the works. BTW have I mentioned how much I love us?
Your life is FUN! And the nun pic makes me ridiculously happy. Yay!
Happy birthdayy! Shit, when was your birthday and why don’t I know the exact date? And Sean is a fine lookin’ man and I giggled a lot at the narcissistic nun photo and seeing you in the background taking the photo. You make me laugh a lot and it’s why you’re one of my favorite people. You’re funny, sometimes you can be crass (love it) and can always cheer me up via a blog post or email
Looks like a lot of fun! Great pics too. (especially the one with the nun- it’s priceless)
And happy belated birthday!!
Such a fun life! Love those dresses!
happy (belated?) bday, my love. i’m glad you’re doing lots of stuff stuff and more stuff. i love the photos of you and lisa and merl. i want to be there with you! i’m sure the three of you are a hoot times a hundred.
i’m at home…basically on lockdown for a few more weeks. public places and lots of people are germy and we can’t have those peeps gettin their cooties on baby barefoot. am i right? so please, by all means…live it up, lady. live it up hard. for me. but mostly for you.
ps. i’m not one of those weird, anal retentive mothers, but my little girl is just so precious. i want to keep her “fresh” for as long as possible.
Looks like you ladies are having such fun. Most awesome smiles.
Lazy blogger…..no way. You lead such a busy.
I wish I could have been there to give you a great big hug for your Birthday.
Mom
Happy belated birthday, former roomie! I hope it was the hoboingest of birthdays yet!
There are many beautiful photos of the Chicago crew here, but the nun photo is the best hands down.
These kinds of posts make me wish I lived in Chicago ….
That cobalt dress is gorgeous on you, lady.
That photo of you behind the nun is so funny!
Sounds like you ended your summer on a sweet note. Happy Birthday, I hope you felt celebrated. I absolutely know what it is to be a lazy blogger and get sucked into the worm hole that is everyday life. Pathetic, right?
May I have your life, please? Thanks!
Oh, and happy birthday!
Wow, what a bunch of gorgeous people and pictures!! Looks like a great life!
