A Thing for Churches (PS: Can you see my booty, 007?)
I have a thing for churches. Maybe it’s the religious studies nerd in me. Regardless, this one (the church, not the nerd) provided a great backdrop for today’s outfit. Love how the stone works against the colors of my dress and tights.
This dress has shown up once before. I don’t wear it often because I’m leery of its short length. 5’10′ + short skirt = way too much potential for embarrassment. I fully affirm the beauty of lady parts, but I’m happy to keep mine under wraps. Still, as long as I wear tights, don’t drop anything, and cross my fingers for a day without Chi breezes, I’m okay. Just for good measure I slapped on a blazer with crazy stripes and some cognac accessories to draw the eye away from the hemline. How’d I do?
Happy Thursday, folks. Mine has been great and I wish the same for you. Or, in less prissy language, hope you’re all lovin’ up your lives. :)
PS- Did you all know that Sean is James Bond?

A Thing for Churches: dress (Urban Outfitters, $10), tights (American Apparel, $5), boots (Target, $20), bag (thrifted, $4).

I love this outfit and one thing I always love about your pics are the settings you choose. Churches included.
Thanks, lady! I’m lucky to live in a neighborhood where great settings are everywhere I look.
You did a great job with the outfit…and the perfect places for it as well.
A young James Bond on the loose…..hmm
Tres, tres sexy outfit! Wow!
Ah, merci!
En plus: “Fatigue? Poubelle!”
The color of those tights is perfection. Love.
And I too love churches. I worked as a religion reporter at a newspaper once, so I spent a lot of time in many different places of worship. I loved them before, but after that I considered myself a connoisseur. The one in your photos looks awesome.
Religion reporter? That sounds fascinating!
Can I ask how long you’ve had those Target boots, and if they are holding up well? They are so cute, but I’ve always been hesitant about Target footwear after a couple of mishaps a few years ago.
They’re great, but they’re not investment pieces, for sure. Clare, Kelli, and I went in together and got a lot of free shipping/buy one get one biz that made these worth buying, but if they hadn’t been cheap I might not’ve gotten them. I do have a grey suede pair (they’re still available) that I got last year that I love and that are definitely worth the money.
